Tucked off 242nd Avenue in rural Keokuk County, Belva Deer Campground is where you come to unplug โ surrounded by mature timber, morning mist, and the kind of stillness you won't find anywhere else.
Belva Deer Campground isn't a theme park. It's a working stretch of Iowa woodland that we opened to people who value silence over spectacle, and authenticity over polish.
Located on 242nd Avenue in Keokuk County, our grounds sit where the roads get quieter and the tree line thickens. You'll wake to birds, not traffic. Dinner will be cooked to whatever pace you set โ there's no schedule here except the sun.
Whether you're passing through and need a proper night's sleep under the pines, or you've come to slow down for a few days, we'll make sure you have what you need and nothing you don't.
Every site is positioned for privacy. Every cabin is stocked so you can arrive with nothing and stay as long as you like.

We keep things peaceful. After 10 PM, generators are off and the woods take over.
We're not on a main drag. You'll drive two-lane roads past fields and tree lines until the noise fades out completely. That's the point.
GPS-enabled. Look for the gravel drive on the north side of 242nd Avenue, just past the old red barn.
